West Gate Bank Promotes Colten Schilling

Schilling joined West Gate Bank in 2016 as a teller at the Midtown location. He was promoted to an Assistant Branch Manager in 2020 and to Retail Technology in 2022. He graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in May 2018 with a Bachelor of Business Administration. As the Retail Technology Officer at West Gate Bank, Schilling is responsible for overseeing a diverse range of customer-facing and back-end products, as well as collaborating with technology vendors to ensure the seamless daily operation of West Gate Bank. He is responsible for managing critical applications such as Online Banking, Electronic Payments, and Core Vendor applications. His new role also entails leading new product implementations, overseeing release management, assisting in disaster recovery strategies, providing expert-level product support and troubleshooting, driving process automation and innovation, and generating comprehensive reports to inform strategic decisions.

Schilling serves as an Assistant Battalion Supply Staff Sergeant for the Army Reserve in Lincoln, Nebraska. He also participates in various bank-supported community and volunteer activities.
