Taylor Ashburn joined West Gate Bank in January, 2016. In 2019 he was promoted to Sr. Vice President. He oversees all aspects of West Gate Bank’s residential construction activities, including originating loans to builders or to homeowners for the purpose of constructing a new home, as well as business development efforts in Lincoln and Omaha. Additionally, he works with developers on financing Residential Land Development projects. Taylor graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2004. He has worked in the banking industry since 2002 and has financed over $1B dollars of residential loans.

Taylor is a youth sports coach, a founding member & commissioner of the Junior Bolts Football organization, serves on the Pius X Booster Club and Lincoln Youth Football League Board of Directors, volunteers at St. Michael Catholic Church/School, was selected for the Nebraska Bankers Association’s Leadership Program Class of 2020 and is a member of Leadership Lincoln Class XXIX.

Brett Sundberg is a Residential Construction Lender who began his career at West Gate Bank in 2011 after earning his degree in Business Administration and Finance from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

Brett serves on the Board of Directors for the Home Builders Association of Lincoln. He also volunteers for Junior Achievement, Teammates and serves on the board for United Way.

Michael Bittner joined West Gate Bank in 2022. As Senior Vice President & Manager, Omaha Residential Construction Lending, Michael brings 16 years of experience in Construction Lending. Originally from Storm Lake, Iowa, he received an associate of arts degree in Business Administration from Iowa Central Community College and a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration & Finance from Grand View University in Des Moines, Iowa. He has served as a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity and as a mentor in the TeamMates Mentoring Program.
